IFTA
Arbitration
IFTA Arbitration is a well-established international dispute resolution system that fairly, quickly, and economically resolves disputes involving entertainment-related production, finance, and distribution agreements.
Open to the worldwide industry at large, arbitrations under all versions of the IFTA Rules, including newly promulgated Rules effective January 1, 2022, are now administered by the International Center for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), the international arm of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitrations are administered by ICDR according to the Rules agreed to by the parties. Arbitration (and potentially mediation and interim relief) proceedings are presided over by experienced arbitrators who served on the IFTA Arbitrator Panel. With over 3,100 cases involving more than $970 million in claims resolved through this industry focused arbitration system, parties can rely on professional services from experienced arbitrators and ICDR case managers, who are experts in the relevant arbitration Rules, the IFTA Model Agreements, and the custom and practice of the Worldwide film & television industry.
